Building Materials Buyer



Topsider Homes has an immediate opening for an experienced building materials buyer.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing materials and interface with vendors on pricing, specifications, etc.
  • New vendors and product research
  • Coordination of logistics for receiving all purchased materials for manufacturing, stock or reshipment to clients
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock item inventory levels
  • Coordinating purchased items specifications with technical and manufacturing staffs
  • Daily handling of purchase orders, shipping and receiving paperwork flow, including resolution of associated invoicing quantity and/or quality issues
Qualifications:
  • High level of proficiency in Excel
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Experience:
    • PAST EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING MATERIALS PURCHASING IS A REQUIREMENT (Purchased items include: lumber, plywood, OSB, laminated beams and timbers, siding, insulation, structural steel, fasteners, windows, doors, decking, flooring, cabinets & countertops, freight, etc.)
    • Minimum five (5) years professional purchasing experience in a production-oriented construction environment, building prefabrication, or job shop-based manufacturing setting
    Education: College degree or equivalent experience.
    Work Schedule: Full Time.
    Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience
